W Ketchup™ Condemns Demagogic Violation of Law

Eagle Bridge, NY — April 24, 2014 — In 1775, John Adams wrote: “Aristotle, Livy, and Harrington . . . define a republic to be a government of laws, and not of men. . . . [A]n emperor [is] a despot, bound by no law or limitation but his own will.”

President Obama recently announced: “where Congress won't act, I will.”

Under the U.S. Constitution, Congress determines the laws, and the President has the duty to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” In 2012, Obama announced that he would refuse to enforce laws that require the deportation of illegal immigrants.

The Affordable Care Act, colloquially known as Obamacare, was passed by Democrat partisans under the direction of Mr. Obama. Obama has unilaterally and repeatedly delayed implementation of his own signature legislation. George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley explained: “There is no statutory authority for the change—simply the raw assertion of executive power.”

The Constitutional Convention created a form of government using checks and balances to separate government powers to prevent their accumulation by the ambitious; nevertheless, George Clinton, Governor of New York and Vice President under Jefferson and Madison, warned during the Constitutional debates of 1787:
It is alleged that the opinions and manners of the people of America are capable to resist and prevent an extension of prerogative or oppression; but you must recollect that opinion and manners are mutable, and may not always be a permanent obstruction against the encroachments of government; . . . your posterity will find that great power connected with ambition, luxury, and flattery, will as readily produce a Caesar, Caligula, Nero, and Domitian in America, as the same causes did in the Roman empire.
Nero was one of the most corrupt of the Roman emperors, and was the first and most vicious sovereign persecutor of Christians.

Obamacare purposefully contains language that forces religious institutions to support practices abhorrent to Christian faith. In a recent court case, the Obama administration argued that churches must bow before Federal law to determine whom they may employ.

Modern biographer B. H. Warmington wrote of Nero: “The Roman rabble might love Nero for the lavishness of his entertainments but the Roman soldier despised him for his indolence.”

Mr. Obama was elected with the support of 73% of those with incomes less than $15,000 per year. A 2008 Military Times poll showed Obama receiving only 23% support.

Nero is remembered for debasing the currency to finance public spending on the masses to curry their favor. Yet, under his reign, the plebeians became impoverished while the wealthy expanded their consumption of luxuries.

Since taking office, Mr. Obama's government has increased the monetary base by 147% to support a 22% increase in federal spending. Real median income has fallen 5% during this time, and the number of people in poverty has increased by 6.7 million. HSBC luxury-goods analyst recently reported: “Trends in luxury consumption in the U.S. have continued to outperform overall consumer trends.”

The Roman historian Tacitus recorded that while a great fire was destroying much of Rome, Nero “had mounted his private stage, and, typifying the ills of the present by the calamities of the past, had sung the Destruction of Troy.”

Under Obama, American foreign power is collapsing, and the domestic economy is supported only by massive money printing as Obama's bureaucrats strangle private enterprise. Mr. Obama's wife admits: “He sings all the time. Oh, yeah, he's in the bathroom all the time just singin'; he's always willin' to sing.”

Dan Oliver, CEO of W Ketchup™, noted: “The Roman senate was too feeble to confront the incipient emperor Augustus, and the ancient Republic passed to Empire. If Congress fails to remove this tyrant from office, America will face a similar fate, as was foreseen by George Clinton. We reiterate our demand that the House begin impeachment proceedings immediately.”

W Ketchup™ Chairman Bill Zachary added: “Congressional testimony demonstrates that Mr. Obama has commandeered the power of Federal agencies to assault his opponents. We advise our customers to keep their larders fully stocked with delicious W Ketchup™, lest they suffer from any interruptions of service caused by Mr. Obama's bureaucrat goons.”

Aristotle warned: “where the power is not vested in the laws, there demagogues abound.”

Obama was recently overheard telling French President Holland: “That's the good thing as a President, I can do whatever I want.” Later that same day, Mr. Obama announced yet another delay to the implementation of Obamacare.
