FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE W Ketchup™ Challenges Governor Cuomo
Alexander Hamilton was one of three New York State delegates to the Constitutional Convention. In the Federalist Papers, Hamilton wrote: “The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed” because “if the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no recourse left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government. . . . The citizens must rush tumultuously to arms, without concert, without system, without resource; except in their courage and despair.” W Ketchup Chairman Bill Zachary reacted: “Cuomo's repulsive comments demonstrate how far the Left has strayed from our founding principles. Our founding fathers were in broad agreement that arms generally among the people were a necessary last defense against government, and that our Constitution is suitable only for a moral people. It is Cuomo who has no place in American tradition or politics.” Last week Dinesh D'souza, who directed 2016: Obama's America, was charged in New York with felony violations of campaign finance laws concerning a $20,000 donation to a former college classmate. When Democrat Pierce O'Donnel was charged with the same crime, the judge rejected a six-month prison sentence as too harsh, imposing only misdemeanor charges. Even liberal Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz condemned the indictment, charging: “This is clearly a case of selective prosecution.” The day after D'souza was charged, James O'Keefe of Project Veritas announced his group had received a subpoena from the New York Department of Labor demanding documents that the group had already made available. Project Veritas was responsible for exposing the illegal activities of ACORN and other leftist groups. George Clinton, the first governor of New York, wrote: “Unlimited power in governors as well as individuals is frequently the parent of deception.” Dan Oliver, CEO of W Ketchup, commented: “It seems Cuomo lost no time in executing his threat against New Yorkers who believe in our Western values, demonstrating the betrayal against which Hamilton warned. Americans should heed Hamilton's advice.” W Ketchup™ is proudly headquartered in Washington County of New York State and is not intimidated by leftwing politicians.
