FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE W Ketchup™ Denounces Obama's Foreign Policy
In 1999, President Clinton allowed the Chinese to take control of the American-built Panama Canal. The Chinese are currently developing a second canal in Nicaragua, a country run by former Soviet-backed communists. Two months after Mr. Obama became president, Russian warships docked in Nicaragua, which then signed several bilateral agreements with Russia. Disgraced senator, frustrated presidential candidate, and Mr. Obama's Secretary of State John Kerry declared in a recent speech: “The era of the Monroe Doctrine is over.” Following World War II, the United States signed defense treaties with South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, and Taiwan. American naval presence in the seas off of China produced seventy years of stability, allowing international trade and global wealth creation to flourish. Last year China unilaterally imposed an Air Defense Identification Zone over disputed territory far from its borders, contravening international law. Chinese fighter planes have since harassed international air traffic, and Chinese naval vessels have confronted American ships in international waters. Regional powers are responding by boosting defense budgets and imposing their own territorial restrictions. Mr. Obama's new defense budget calls for a Navy the smallest since before World War I and an army and air force the smallest since before World War II. Obama's Secretary of Defense has admitted that America is: “diminishing our global readiness” in a “world that is growing more volatile, more unpredictable, and in some instances more threatening to the United States.” China has increased its military budget by an average of 16% every year for the past twenty years, from $7.6 billion in 1995 to $131 billion in 2014. In 1946, U.S. diplomat George Kennan developed the American policy of containing Russia within its borders. After the Soviet collapse, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania joined the NATO mutual defense treaty. In 1994, America, Britain, Russia and Ukraine signed a treaty guaranteeing Ukraine's territorial integrity in return for the voluntarily surrender of its nuclear weapons. In 2009, on the seventieth anniversary of Russia's invasion of Poland, Mr. Obama announced the cancellation of ballistic missile defense programs in Poland and the Czech Republic. Earlier this month Russia invaded and officially annexed Crimea from Ukraine, ostensibly to protect ethnic Russians in Crimea. Russian President Putin has vowed to defend the interests of ethnic Russians in other countries, and Russian officials have recently threatened Estonia for its treatment of Russian minorities. Mr. Obama responded by telling twenty Russian officials, not including Putin, that they are unwelcome in the United States. During his reelection campaign, Obama was caught on an open microphone telling then-Russian President Medvedev: “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved . . . after my election I have more flexibility.” Last June, Obama announced plans to reduce unilaterally America's nuclear arsenal by one third below current levels, which many experts consider already dangerously low. In October, Russia announced it would increase its expenditures on nuclear weapons by 50%. Dan Oliver, CEO of W Ketchup™, reacted: “Rarely in history has the influence of a global power waned as swiftly as America's under Mr. Obama, and never so willfully. American leadership in Asia, Europe and even the Americas has collapsed. It is unclear how his actions would differ from those of a Soviet mole charged with undermining the United States.” President Obama's longtime mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, was a member of the Russian-funded Communist Party USA before becoming a Democrat. The FBI file on Mr. Davis reveals that he and his fellow communists succeeded in the “infiltration of the Democratic Party through control of Precinct Clubs and organizations.” Oliver continued: “For more than two hundred years the world has been dominated by two countries, Britain and America, dedicated to individual liberty and free trade, producing spectacular growth in wealth, longevity, and happiness. The international left, led by Mr. Obama, plans to return the world to the mercantilism of the 17th century, characterized by colonialism, war, and poverty. We remind members of Congress they all swore an oath to protect ‘against all enemies, foreign and domestic.’” In 2004, the U.S. Army lost 70 soldiers taking the city of Fallujah in Iraq. Two months ago, al-Qaeda recaptured the city. For decades, Egypt has been America's staunchest ally in the Middle East. Last month, Egypt agreed to buy $2 billion of weapons from Russia. For years, Iran has been an international pariah because of its quest for nuclear weapons. Obama recently agreed to lift sanctions for a deal that, according to Iran, accepts Iran's “right” to enrich Uranium, a key milestone required to produce nuclear weapons. W Ketchup™ Chairman Bill Zachary explained: “Under Obama, the U.S. is in headlong retreat on every front, threatening global political, economic, and military stability. While we support free trade when based on the rule of law and sound currencies, we are fortunate that all of W Ketchup's™ operations and ingredients come solely from America, insulating us at least from Mr. Obama's international policies.” W Ketchup's main competitor, Heinz, has fifty foreign factories and relies on international trade. The company boasts $11 billion in annual revenue from 200 countries. In February 2013, Warren Buffett purchased Heinz for $28 billion, partially from Secretary of State Kerry's wife, ketchup heiress Maria Teresa Thierstein Simões-Ferreira Heinz Kerry. Since then, the company has reported $71.7 million in losses, after paying the former CEO $110.5 million and the new CEO $9.2 million in compensation. Mr. Buffett has fired 3,400 workers. Buffett recently won an award from Mr. Obama after agitating for higher taxes on ordinary Americans. Buffett's investment company Berkshire Hathaway admitted it has failed to pay taxes since 2002.
